Analytics
We use Google’s analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site — for example, which pages are visited, how long visits last, and the general geographic region of visitors. The site also keeps its own daily totals of page views for each page and the general topic of each question put to the assistant. These totals use no cookies and contain nothing that identifies you.

If you send us a message through a form on this site, we receive the details you enter — your name, email address, phone number and message — by email, and keep the correspondence for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. The same applies if you email us directly.

AI assistant
The “Ask Pivot Ventures” assistant on this site answers questions from the information published here. When you ask it a question, the text of your conversation is sent to Anthropic, the company that provides the AI model (Claude), to produce the answer. Anthropic processes it under its commercial terms, which do not allow it to use your conversation to train its models. We do not store the content of conversations, and the assistant sets no cookies. If you ask it to pass on an enquiry, the details you confirm, with a short summary of the conversation, reach us like a message from our contact forms. Answers are generated automatically and may contain mistakes; for anything important, please contact us.

Server logs and security
Our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information — such as IP addresses, browser type, and pages requested — in server logs used for security monitoring and troubleshooting. This data is retained only as long as needed for those purposes.

Links to other websites
Our site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn and Notion. This policy does not cover them; they have their own privacy policies, and we have no control over their content or practices.

Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that operate this website on our behalf — our hosting provider, analytics provider (Google), cookie-consent provider, the service that delivers our form emails, and Anthropic for the assistant — each of which processes it under their own privacy commitments and our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics retention settings. Server and security logs are rotated on our hosting provider’s standard schedule. Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to serve your enquiry.
